Number 23: TCF announces the publication of a new volume of America’s Needs and Resources, the major study on America’s economic system that received wide attention. The study finds that “the American economic system is the strongest and most productive system in human history, easily capable of attaining by 1960 a total national output of $414 billion and affording an avergae family income of more than $6,000, with prospects of still greater growth.”
